I’m a mum with unpopular rules, I’ve banned sleepovers & my kids can’t have social media until they’re 18
A MUM-OF-TWO explained her “unpopular” opinions when it comes to parenting, including banning sleepovers and insisting on no social media until her daughters were 18.
Myra, who uploads videos to TikTok under the handle nursemyra2020, joked that she may he starting a riot by sharing her strict parenting rules.
Myra explained that she had strict rules for her daughters when they were growing up[/caption] She also put a ban on sleepovers for her two daughters[/caption]In the short video on TikTok she listed off her three controversial sanctions.
She said: “Unpopular parenting I follow.
“Absolutely NO sleepovers.
“Phone restrictions and no social media until you turn 18.
“You leave the house you can’t come back.”
The video, which was uploaded with the caption “Sorry not sorry”, quickly went viral and has now been liked almost 250k times.

The mum-of-two was challenged by one commenter who said: “Did you genuinely follow the no social media rule though?”
To which she replied: “If she lied and had it, it sure wasn’t on any device I bought.”
Another person challenged her, by saying: “Lol, girls gone wild when she turns 18. Dog off the leash for the first time. Best wishes!”
Myra replied: “They’re 19 and 21, living on their own, full time university students and working. Sooo I’ll take that as a compliment.”
But it wasn’t just Myra jumping in to defend her methods, one of her daughters also jumped in.

She said: “I’m her kid and obviously as a teen you think it’s the end of the world but as I grew up I knew she was the only one protecting me.”
Plenty of people supported the methods.
One said: “We have the EXACT same rules, mama!!”
Another agreed: “Good job mama, you teach those kiddos to be amazing people.”
In other news, this strict parent confessed people don’t get her rules – she doesn’t allow sleepovers & if they won’t eat her food they don’t eat.
