Blake Shelton Says His Wedding to Gwen Stefani Was the 'Greatest Gig' He's Ever Had

Blake Shelton is looking back at his wedding to Gwen Stefani!

The couple tied the knot this past summer and in a new interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the country-music superstar opened up about their special day and shared why his The Voice co-star Adam Levine wasn’t invited.

Ellen began by asking if Gwen had any “strong opinions” on what Blake should wear to the wedding,

“At one point I was saying in an interview, ‘Let Gwen just do whatever she wants for the wedding,’ and then some writer wrote, ‘Oh look, he’s already a lazy, deadbeat husband,’” he replied, joking, “But the truth is, I am.”

“It was all her idea, her vision,” he continued. “All I had to do was drink and kiss Gwen Stefani. It’s the greatest gig I ever had.”

Ellen then mentioned that when Adam Levine had stopped by the show, he had some thoughts on Gwen and Blake‘s relationship.

Cutting to a clip from his interview, Adam was seen joking that he “doesn’t support” their wedding because “she’s so cool, and he’s not.”

“That’s the reason we didn’t invite him to the wedding,” Blake said once the video had finished.

“He would have been their otherwise?” Ellen asked.

“We’ll never know,” he quipped. “I purposefully did not invite Adam Levine to my wedding, and I think it’s funny!”
