Former MLA Urimajalu Ram Bhat, the face of Jan Sangh and BJP and responsible for the ascendency of the party in the coastal part of Karnataka, especially Puttur, passed away at his residence in Kombettu, Puttur, 50 kms from Mangaluru on Monday, due to age related illness. He was 92.
