I thought I had appendicitis but I was actually in labour and had no idea I was pregnant, reveals This Morning caller
A GUEST on This Morning revealed that she thought she had appendicitis but was actually in labour and had no idea she was pregnant.
During Monday’s instalment of the ITV breakfast show, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were chatting to viewers about their upcoming festive plans.
One listener called Nadia revealed that she’ll be spending her first Christmas with her baby daughter, who came as a bit of a surprise when she gave birth in June.
Nadia told the pair: I had the worst pains I couldn’t sleep, so I actually had gone to A&E and they thought my appendix had burst.
“So they rushed me through, did tests and stuff… and they just turned round and said ‘you’re in labour you’re having a baby today’.”
A gobsmacked Phillip replied: “Absolutely no clue you were clueless!”
Nadia continued: “Like I’d put on a little bit of weight, I felt bloated and but it wasn’t like anything major, it was just I thought I was gluten intolerant.”
Holly, 40, went on to ask how she managed to “switch on motherhood” so quickly after the news.
The new mum confessed: “Well I’m smashing it to be honest! I was really lucky because my sister-in-law was overdue with a little boy Harry, and he’s four days older than Mela, she had everything here and she was so amazing.
“My mum and my sister, they live in spain so i’ve been flying over and seeing them…”
Nadia added: “She’s the happiest little baby.”
Meanwhile, Holly described going into labour as “the best experience ever”.
The 40-year-old admitted she was jealous of a caller who is due to have her first baby on Christmas Day.

The woman Joanne revealed her excitement and nerves ahead of welcoming her festive bundle of joy, so Holly offered some words of advice.
The presenter said: “Can I just say, really enjoy it. I know that when it’s your first you are quite nervous about what it is going to be like and if it is all going to be ok.”
She continued: “I loved all three of my labours and they were all completely different and some of them weren’t straight forward, but I really enjoyed it.
“It is a very magical, special thing you are about to go through. I am really jealous of anyone who is about to go into labour, it’s the best experience ever.”
Holly and husband husband Dan Baldwin, 46, are parents to kids Harry, 12, Belle, ten, and seven-year-old Chester,
The presenter has previously confessed that she is “always broody” for a fourth child.
In an interview with The Daily Star last year, Holly said: “I’m always broody.
“Part of me wants another baby but part of me thinks that’s not a good enough reason!
“I’ve almost decided not to…but not quite.”
