Propnight Killer Guide: Banshee (Perks, Tips, & Strategies)

0

In the new prop hunt horror game Propnight, there are many different options for those who play as the killer, and the Banshee is an especially creepy one. While not necessarily the most original idea, her appearance as a floating undead nun definitely adds a unique chill to her presence. The only thing that makes her even scarier is her versatile kit that will certainly keep survivors scrambling to keep their prop machines operational, similar to Dead by Daylight's generators, and avoid the banshee's watchful eye.

The Banshee has all of the standard killer abilities, along with three unique ones. Players that like a more simple path to victory will appreciate the Banshee's kit, as all three of her abilities are pretty straightforward and offer immediate, evident results. Her playstyle involves staying pretty close to the action, though, and she does struggle closing long distances once survivors know she is on their tail.

The three unique abilities that the Banshee brings to the table are the following:

  • Curse: Applied to a prop machine to make it more difficult to repair.
  • Scream: A scream is let out in a relatively short radius. Survivors in the radius take damage and are made visible to the Banshee.
  • Flight: Banshee flies for a short distance in any direction, avoiding obstacles in her path.

These abilities are what give Banshee her unique identity, like the killers in Dead by Daylight. Players can leverage these abilities to make the game much easier for them.

The primary strategy for using the Banshee in Propnight is to center play around the Curse ability. There are two ways to do this. Players can curse a prop machine and hang nearby, knowing that survivors will have to spend extra time fixing it, and will be held in place. Alternatively, they can curse a prop machine so that they can safely hunt farther away, knowing that they will have extra time to double back if a survivor tries to fix it. Regardless of the strategy, players using the Banshee will always want to consider where their cursed prop machine is.

Banshee players should do their best to save their abilities until they know a survivor is close. This is because, while flight gives them a lot of extra mobility, it doesn't last very long. So, once players have used their eyes or ears to confirm that survivor is nearby, they can use Scream to immediately zero in on their target, and then use flight to take a more direct path to them. Getting all of this done quickly is paramount, as the short flight duration keeps the ability from being always ending in a kill. Following this strategy is a great way to secure a win in the new mixed-genre horror gamePropnight.
