“Moscow will not attack Kiev”: Lukashenko criticised Western reproaches against Russia
Western accusations against Russia over the possible preparation of “attack” on Ukraine are completely unfounded, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko
“We need an excuse to flail Russia. Here they put up this label. Although no one in Russia is going to attack Ukraine. Russia sees perfectly well what is going on in Ukraine. And it’s unacceptable not only for Russia, but also for us, because we are close to them”, – BelTA quoted Lukashenko.
According to the Belarusian leader, “a lot will change in the coming months. Lukashenko pointed out that Belarus found itself in the centre of the global confrontation, as “the chain from the Black Sea to the Baltic Sea is a longstanding plan of the enemies and opponents” of Minsk and Moscow.
“They simply picked that moment, they thought it was now possible to close the Baltic-Black Sea belt, or, as it used to be called, the sanitary cordon. We need a strong block, no cordon sanitaire”, – said President of Belarus.
