[Men's Bowling] Acosta Leads SXU Men's Bowling at the Warhawk Open

Addison, Ill. – Senior Alex Acosta (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) finished seventh overall, collecting 1,208 pins in six games on Saturday, December 4 at the Motiv Warhawk Open at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill. this weekend. He averaged 201.3 pins per game and surpassed 200 pins three times, including a high of 237 in game one. On Saturday, the Saint Xavier University men's bowling team placed fifth out of 32 teams with a total of 5,596 pins. The Cougars held on to their position, knocking down a total of 8,567 pins and qualified for the Baker games on Sunday. However, SXU lost in the quarterfinals to No. 4 seed University of St. Francis (Ill.), 2-0 (172-174, 170-173), in two close games.
