Toshiba unveils M-series 4K Fire TV with local dimming, hands-free Alexa

Following in the footsteps of Amazon’s recent Omni and 4-Series Fire TVs, Toshiba is unleashing a new flagship M-series 4K TV that boasts hands-free Alexa, while adding a key feature—local dimming—to the mix.

Available now at AmazonRemove non-product link and Best BuyEdit non-product linkRemove non-product link, the Toshiba M550KU arrives in 75-, 65-, and 55-inch models and comes with Amazon’s Fire TV streaming video interface built-in. It’s also the first Fire TV set to offer local dimming, which helps boost contrast levels for both standard and HDR content.
