Punjab farmers hoping for a waiver & are not returning loans, bank tells SC

Ahead of the Punjab assembly elections, Patiala Central Cooperative Bank told the Supreme Court on Monday that farmers are not returning the loan taken from banks as they are hoping for a waiver by the winner of the elections after the polls.
