15-year-old boy wounded in shooting in Bronzeville

The boy was shot while riding in a car in the 4900 block of South Prairie Avenue, police said.

A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in Bronzeville on the South Side.

The boy was riding in a car in the 4900 block of South Prairie Avenue, when shots were fired around 12:40 a.m., Chicago police said.

He was struck in the upper-right leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, police said.

No one was in custody.
