After getting sick at a young age, Maeve feels like she has nothing to lose and that she has to do what she wants. She bravely pursues a relationship with Simon, despite his bad reputation, and has no problem telling her sister that she has hurt her by telling Simon to leave Maeve alone.
Since Maeve isn't part of the "Murder Club" who are being investigated for Simon's murder, she is free to be more courageous and bold with how she approaches the situation.
3 Cooper
As a talented athlete who has been in the spotlight for a long time and whose professional future feels close enough to touch, Cooper deals with a lot of stress and overwhelm. He's also in love with Kris and doing his best to make his dad happy while thinking about what he wants.
