How Kourtney Kardashian's Family is Helping Her Plan ‘Dream Wedding’
With the help of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family, Kourtney Kardashian is busy planning her dream wedding to Travis Barker. Since it will be Kourtney's first time walking down the aisle, the Poosh founder is depending on her mom and sisters for advice. Ahead of Kourtney and Travis's big day, she is putting together a team to assist her with the fairytale wedding. Kourtney has a vision for her nuptials and she's leaning on her loved ones to pull it off properly.
There have been a lot of weddings in the Kar-Jenner family. However, Kourtney has never wanted to make that commitment. Kris Jenner married two times, Kim Kardashian married three times and Khloe Kardashian was married once. Despite being the eldest sister, Kourtney will be the last of the Kardashian sisters to tie the knot. Following Travis' beachside proposal last October, the couple has been planning an intimate wedding to exchange their vows in front of their loved ones.
Since it will be Kourtney's first marriage and Travis's third, he is allowing the reality star to take charge of the wedding planning. However, Kourtney is a rookie and has enlisted a team of family and professionals to assist her with preparing for the big day. “In addition to hiring professional help, Kourtney is relying heavily on her mom and sisters to help every step of the way,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Kourtney wants to elicit their help and advice on every aspect including the dress, venue, décor, lighting, flowers, etc." The family is very close and Kris, Kim, and Khloe are experienced enough to aid Kourtney in all of the small but important details that come along with planning a wedding.
Kourtney also has the pleasure of being related to some of the biggest style icons on the globe, so she's in good hands. "She knows they all have impeccable taste and she completely trusts that they know her well enough to know what she’s looking for,” the source shared. “Kourtney absolutely has a vision, but she’s counting on Kris and her sisters to help pull off her dream wedding.” Details on the wedding have been scarce so far. However, it is said that KUWTK alum Kourtney isn't planning a wedding with too many guests. She “wants to be married in 2022” and is “setting her sights on this summer," the insider noted.
The couple plans to shell out the big bucks for their big day. “They are not sparing any expense and have hired wedding planner Mindy Weiss, who does all the Kardashian’s big events," the source added. Travis is comfortable letting Kourtney take the lead in planning their wedding. The Blink-182 drummer "feels that she has a much better vision than he does, and he wants it to be perfect for her,” the insider said.
Their families and close friends will be in attendance. However, aside from Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox, who they are friendly with, fans aren't sure who will attend the wedding. Many don't expect Scott Disick to attend the nuptials. However, by the time the big day comes around, there is a chance that he and Kourtney will be on better terms. So, it is possible that he will receive an invite. Travis's ex-wife Shanna Moakler will more than likely not be invited. She hasn't had anything nice to say about the couple since they went public with their relationship one year ago. Of course, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family is big enough to fill the seats.
