KUWTK: Kendall Skips Chicago & Stormi's Party For Ski Trip With Friend
There was lots of Kanye drama for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars at Chicago and Stormi's birthday party, but Kendall Jenner wanted no part of it as she skipped the party to go skiing with her best friend, Fai Khadra. Over the weekend, Kim threw a combined birthday party with sister Kylie Jenner for their daughters Chicago and Stormi. The Kardashians are known for their extravagant parties, and while they were ready to have a good time, one family member was not happy to be left off the guest list–Kanye. The rapper took to his Instagram to explain the situation to fans and ask for help.
Kim has been distancing herself from her ex-husband since he's been acting out due to her current fling with SNL star Pete Davidson. The 22-time Grammy winner told fans via Instagram that he wasn't allowed to know where his daughter's party was taking place, and after calling multiple people at the party, including Tristan Thompson, no one would give him the location. Kanye expressed his concern that his daughter would always remember that her father wasn't at her birthday party. However, the rapper later revealed that he ultimately ended up attending the event thanks to Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott.
While Kanye was worried he'd miss the party, Kendall seems to have intentionally avoided it. According to The U.S. Sun, Kendall was spotted vacating in Aspen, Colorado, with Fai instead of hanging out with her family and celebrating Chicago and Stormi's birthdays. During her vacation, Kendall was seen hitting the ski slopes and going out to dinner with her friends. The star bundled up in an all-black ski suit, beanie, and gloves. She also sported big black sunglasses to keep the sun out of her eyes.
Kendall, who has been open about her struggle with anxiety, has always remained more low-key than her sisters. As the only Kardashian-Jenner without kids, Kendall's on a very different path than the rest of her family and seems to prioritize her youth and spending time with her friends. While she's had her fair share of rumors and controversies, she doesn't open herself up to the public nearly as much as her sisters do. In past seasons of KUWTK, Kendall has also expressed that she relates a lot more to the Jenner side of the family.
While everything ultimately worked out at Chicago and Stormi's birthday, Kendall was probably better off skipping the event. The Kardashians are a tight nit family so the model will most likely make it up to her nieces by having a more private celebration. She'll surely send the two another extravagant Kardashian-Jenner birthday present. There's been no info on why the KUWTK star choice to go skiing instead, but if the star was simply trying to avoid any potential Kanye drama, she made the right choice.
