I’m a fashion expert – the three things you need to throw out of your wardrobe right now
IT’S TIME to downsize your wardrobe.
A fashion expert recommended throwing away three specific types of items to declutter your closet and help save you space.
Fashion and lifestyle expert Jade Leanne wants decluttering your closet to be as easy as possible.
So, she shared a video on social media explaining the three questions you should ask yourself when deciding which garments should stay, and which should go.
First, she said to go piece by piece and ask yourself: “Would I buy this if I saw it in a store now?”
This will help you decide how much you value the clothing item.
She reasoned that if you wouldn’t buy it now, you probably won’t have a desire to wear it again.
Second, Leanne said to ask yourself: “Does it fit me?”

If the item is too big or too small and hasn’t fit you for over a year, Leanne said it should be tossed in the bin.
“It makes us feel like s**t to have clothes that don’t fit us in our wardrobe,” she noted.
“Get rid of them.”
Lastly, if the item has holes, stains, or rips in it, she said to just toss it.
“You’re not going to fix them later, you’re not going to patch them up, you’re not going to bleach them, get them in the bin,” she said.
The expert even suggested using old clothing as a cleaning rag.
For the pieces you decide to toss, Leanne recommended putting them in a bin that you can later sort through to decide if you want to sell them, donate them, or, for ruined clothing, throw them away.
Now that your closet is cleared, you can keep your whole house tidy using tips from a professional organizer.
