The CW's Naomi: The Main Characters, Ranked By Intelligence
Naomi has introduced fans of the DC Universe on The CW to a lesser-known hero, a teenage girl who learns she is not from this planet. While Naomi is from another dimension in the comics, this series looks like it is taking the idea of aliens on Earth, from Superman to someone from Hawkman's homeworld
However, the main focus of the series is on Naomi and her high school friends, as they seek to find the truth about a possible alien crash that took place the same day Naomi's parents adopted her. Along the way, they meet at least two aliens and have to deal with Naomi's parents who may or may not know more than what they let on.
10 Lourdes
Lourdes is one of Naomi's closest friends, and she might end up being smarter than others, but so far she hasn't done much of anything during the early episodes. Lourdes is someone who really likes Naomi and is always there for her, which makes her an invaluable ally.
She is also the coolest member of the little group and someone who seems to be unapologetically herself, not caring what anyone else thinks. That might come in handy down the line as Naomi seems to struggle with being different in a world where she just wants to fit in.
9 Anthony
Anthony is a townie and is one of Naomi's close friends. He is someone who really likes Naomi and offers to do anything he can to help out when she needs it. He comes across slightly like a nerd, but that is mostly because of his conflict with jock, Nathan, as they both like Naomi.
However, he also seems smart and capable, especially when helping Naomi figure out what is going on in their town.
8 Annabelle
Annabelle is Naomi's best friend and someone who has been there for her every step of the way. What makes Annabelle so smart is the fact that she refuses to be close-minded. When Naomi struggles to accept things, Annabelle is there to let her know that the impossible happens all the time.
She is also someone who helps out with a good plan. Annabelle has been ready to step up for her friend every step of the way and is someone who refuses to back down or question things when the truth is looking her in the eye.
7 Nathan
Nathan is Naomi's ex-boyfriend. He is a jock, and like Naomi, he is a military brat in the town. However, one thing that Naomi does with Nathan is ensure that he is not a stereotype. Instead of playing the dumb jock trope, Nathan seems pretty smart.
He has been seen working hard in school and has his head on his shoulders. He is also someone who is trying hard in school and is a lot smarter than most might think based on first impressions. He even helps her piece together video footage of when Superman arrived.
6 Naomi McDuffie
Naomi McDuffie has had a tough road since she learned she not only had superpowers but that she was also possibly an alien. She went from someone who ran a Superman fan site on the Internet to someone who refused to believe Superman was real when evidence arose.
However, while she struggled to believe it, that does not mean she is not intelligent. Naomi had the opposite reaction. She began investigating the incident to learn the truth, and thanks to her hard work, determination, and intelligence, she found it.
5 Jacob
Jacob is a nerdy high school student and has been dating Annabelle since elementary school. He really likes her and will do anything she asks of him. That makes him an invaluable asset to Naomi since he is a UFO conspiracy theorist.
It is Jacob that helps Naomi figure out more about the possible UFOs from the year she was adopted. It is also Jacob that helps them find what they are looking for and he seems to be the one friend who might be smart enough to help solve the puzzle.
4 Greg McDuffie
Greg is Naomi's father and a military officer. In the second episode, his accolades were laid out by his commanding officer. It was clear that he is not only a decorated officer but someone who is smart enough to help the military get some control concerning the alien presence on Earth.
He was called in to help investigate the possible aliens in his town, and this should lead to some minor conflict with his daughter. This might be tough for Naomi since her dad seems smart enough to piece the facts together. Of course, if the events of Naomi follow the comics, he could be even smarter than anyone expected.
3 Jennifer McDuffie
Jennifer is Naomi's mother. While Greg is a professional military officer, Jennifer is a linguist and that makes her the most educated person in the Naomi cast. However, the show seems to be hiding some big secrets and Jennifer might be in the middle of them.
Jennifer and Greg adopted Naomi when the UFO landing was recorded, and if she is an alien as expected, there is a chance that both Jennifer and Greg know this. With Jennifer's knowledge of linguistics, she could be someone that could help solve the mysteries of the weird symbols Naomi discovered.
2 Zumbado
Zumbado appears upfront to be a villain in the first season of Naomi, but things are not always as they seem. What is for sure is that Zumbado has powers, and he is strong enough to overpower Naomi when pushed.
As for the smartest characters on the show, Zumbado knows more than almost anyone involved about Naomi's powers. That puts him on another level from any human Naomi has introduced so far. In the comics, Zumbado is a very powerful and smart character and one that should play a big role in this first season.
1 Dee
At the moment, the smartest character in Naomi is Dee. Unlike Zumbado, Dee appears to be a heroic character, although he prefers to keep that hidden for his own safety. This is especially smart, with the military investigating aliens on Earth.
Dee is also an alien from the same planet as Hawkman in DC Comics, Thanagar. He knows a lot more about Naomi's powers than she does and he also knows Superman and said they have battled together in a war. Dee is the man that Naomi has gone to for help, and he seems to be the smartest character on the show when it comes to her powers and the events that will change her life forever.
