On Monday, the BJP launched a barrage of attacks on Akhilesh Yadav after the interview appeared in The Economic Times. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that this showed Yadav's mindset and that he should tender an apology to the country for his comments which show his "love" for Pakistan. He said the comments by the SP president was very unfortunate.
