[Men's Track & Field] Franklin & Szocka lead SXU Men's Track & Field at Lake ...

Kenosha, Wis. – Freshman Lendal Franklin (Chicago, Ill./Roosevelt/Argo Community) and senior Matt Szocka (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) both won events that they competed in for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team Saturday afternoon at the Lake Michigan Open hosted by University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis. Franklin won the 55m Hurdles with a program record time of 7.95 seconds. Szocka had the best throw in the Shot Put with a distance of 12.88m. The Cougars finished 2nd of four teams and set a team indoor record for points with 126. Their second-place finish was also the best in indoor team history.
