Low hospitalisation in the poll-bound states was a key factor considered by the Election Commission before allowing campaign relaxations for phases 1 and 2 of the assembly elections. Hospitalisation rate in the five poll-bound states is learnt to be 1.4-1.6%, as per latest government data.
