Inside Teen Mom’s MOST slammed nurseries with Chelsea Houska’s ‘ugly’ sunflower theme and Cheyenne Floyd’s picture wall
WHEN it comes to the Teen Moms, designs for their babies nurseries are as different as they are.
Some Moms choose traditional colors and decorations, others go with controversial options like all-black walls.
And fans aren’t afraid to let the new moms know how they feel about the rooms.
Take a look at how some of the newest Teen Moms, with some of the youngest children, decorate their rooms and decide for yourself.
JENELLE EVANS
Jenelle Evans has faced backlash through the years for showing her messy and unkempt home to fans online – including five year old daughter Ensley’s room.
In 2021, she was criticized for posting a photo of Ensley, which appeared to show a discolored wall in the background.
The photo, posted to Jenelle’s Instagram Story, was meant to show off the coin bank her daughter built.
Between the “dirty” wall and Ensley’s nails, fans were a bit distracted.
“Her nails are filthy,” one Reddit user wrote. “Those poor kids.”
Another commenter wrote: “It just makes me sad to see her hair unbrushed, dirty fingernails, hole in the wall behind her. Save that money up Ensley and get out once you can!”
A third Reddit user wrote: “What’s going on with the wall in the back? I can’t tell if she never cleaned her kids ‘art’ off the walls.”
CHEYENNE FLOYD
Cheyenne Floyd has two young children at home.
The reality star shares 4-year-old daughter Ryder with ex-boyfriend Cory Wharton, and pictures of her nursery reveal a plethora of pink.
Last year, after the tiny tot asked for a special unicorn themed celebration for her doll, fans got an inside look into her room.
The Teen Mom OG star showed off unicorn-themed decorations on a glass table, while a colorful unicorn poster was also hung on the wall.
The 29-year-old mom also shares newborn Ace Terrel Davis with fiancé Zach Davis.
While Zach deals with the aftermath of his recent arrest at a Los Angeles airport, Cheyenne is giving fans a peek at her son’s nursery.
Aside from showing off some of the furniture in the nursery, the Teen Mom OG star also shared a look at the big box of framed photos that she was about to adorn the walls with.
“Hey guys, so I wanted to liven up Ace’s room a little bit with some new pictures,” she told fans.
CHELSEA HOUSKA
Fans have not been kind to Chelsea Houska’s new dream home, with some flat out calling it “ugly.”
So to appease the critics, Chelsea, 29, and husband Cole, 30, shared a lovely snapshot of their baby Walker’s room.
Above the crib was a large sign of the baby’s name written in big letters.
From top to bottom, the wallpaper was lined up with drawings of the perennial plant.
The caption for the photo stated: “Walker’s room still gives me all the happy vibes every single time I walk in.”
The reality stars jokingly blamed the vibes on the “sunflowers.”
The sunflower wallpaper is titled “Darla” and comes from Chelsea’s own line.
CATELYNN LOWELL
Catelynn Lowell, 29, and husband Tyler Baltierra, 30, own a historical octagon-shaped farmhouse that has been completely renovated to include modern touches.
Their seven-year-old daughter Novalee’s pink bedroom is complete with old-fashioned white wood furniture and horse decorations.
Two year-old Vaeda’s room has touches of gray and blue all throughout with white molding.
The home sits on 15 acres of land complete with outbuildings for a chicken coop, work shed and more.
KAILYN LOWRY
Kailyn Lowry was slammed last year for considering putting black wallpaper in her baby son Creed’s nursery.
The Teen Mom 2 star’s fans said the look was way too “harsh” and “mature” for an eight-month-old.
Kailyn showed off two design ideas for the nursery in her new home – one of them featured, black swirly wallpaper and furniture, a black and grey rug and gold accessories.
Critics weren’t a fan of the dark color scheme in the first option, with one writing: “The first one seems too dark for a baby.”
Kailyn replied: “Really?? His room has to be completely blacked out for his naps and bedtime so I thought it was perfect.”
Another agreed, adding: “The other looks too dark and grown up for a baby.”
AMBER PORTWOOD
Amber Portwood gave up her beloved Indiana home to her baby daddy Andrew Glennon amid their nasty custody war over their two-year-old son James.
Instead of paying child support, Amber, 31, has allowed Andrew and their son to live in her lakeside house to keep James’ home routine stable.
James’ room is ocean-themed with blue walls and painting of waves with his name above his crib.
The backyard has a deck and enough space perfect for James and Amber’s 12-year-old daughter Leah, whom she shares with ex Gary Shirley, to play.
