THIS is the shocking moment a disqualified driver narrowly missed knocking down a young girl as he impatiently overtook a car waiting at a zebra crossing.

Alarming dash cam footage shows Boyce overtake the car as a family walked over a pedestrian crossing on Green Lane.

His car almost hits a young girl riding a scooter while her dad can be seen getting in front of the vehicle in a bid to defend his daughter.

But shameless Boyce simply revved his engine before speeding off.

Cops released the footage after the incident in May 2020 in a bid to track down the driver – with Boyce handing himself in.

He answered no comment throughout his interview, however dash cam captured his car at the scene and he was identified by several witnesses.

Boyce appeared at Birmingham Crown Court in December and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and having no insurance.

He was jailed today for 42 weeks.

PC Abbi Jones, from the Road Harm Prevention Team, said: “Boyce’s driving was dangerous, reckless and could have cost a young life.

“Fortunately, on this occasion nobody was hurt.

“The footage caused public outrage at the time and the online community pulled together to make sure that Boyce was identified and held accountable for his actions.

“Officers from our Road Harm Prevention Team reached out to the victims having seen the footage and commenced the investigation which has led to this conviction.

“I hope this serves as a warning that driving in this manner will not be tolerated on our roads and we will take action to hold those who drive dangerously accountable.”
