Woman, 21, found dead in home along with man, 47, is named as cops investigate ‘isolated’ tragedy
A WOMAN found dead at a house in Birmingham has been named locally as Lucy Powell.
The 21-year-old and a 47-year-old man were found dead at the home on Thursday, with cops saying they believe the tragedy is an “isolated incident”.
The 47-year-old man has not been named.
Officers from West Midlands Police said they forced entry to the home in Stechford on Thursday night after the pair failed to respond to calls and messages.
A probe has been launched and a post mortem scheduled to establish a cause of death.
It is not clear if the pair are related.
Specialist officers are supporting their loved ones following the incident.
Paying tribute to Lucy on Facebook, one friend said: “Thinking of you all, absolutely heart-breaking. RIP Lucy.”
Another wrote: “I’m so sorry for your loss.

Chief Superintendent Mat Shaer from Birmingham East Police, said: “This is truly awful and my heart goes out to the couple’s family and friends.
“It was clear that nothing could be done to save the man or woman.
“No doubt this will come as a huge shock to neighbours and the local community. But we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider public.”
