Emmerdale spoilers: Ellis Chapman exit storyline revealed after race row fallout
REKINDLING their relationship has proven itself to be quite the challenge for Belle Dingle and Ellis Chapman.
However, the character portrayed by Aaron Anthony is now getting ready to leave the village in an upcoming Emmerdale instalment.
Nothing is ever smooth sailing in the Dales.
For weeks, Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) has been getting closer to Ellis, in spite of her family fighting over the Woolpack with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman).
But while the pub rift isn’t enough to keep them apart, life has chosen to throw another curveball at the young couple.
In a future episode of the ITV soap, due to air next week, Ellis’ exit gets a kick-start following a surprise phone call.

Planning to go abroad, Ellis is sacrificing his life in the Dales for professional reasons.
Ellis has a job opportunity he can’t miss out on but dreads breaking the news to Belle.
A misunderstanding will, however, complicate things for him as Al puts his foot in it by letting the news slip to the young woman, assuming she had already been warned.
Belle is furious, realising that Ellis is about to break things off and, soon, he’s saying his goodbyes.
This wouldn’t be the first time Belle and Ellis part ways.
In 2019, Ellis received news of his mother Jessie from Dubai, while his relationship with Belle was just getting started.
Ellis swiftly left the village to go and join her, leaving Belle behind for several months for another job opportunity.
But Ellis couldn’t stay away from Belle or the village for too long and returned to his life in Yorkshire.
This coincided with Aaron Anthony taking over the role from Asan N’Jie.
News of Aaron leaving the ITV programme first circulated in December, 2021, following a furious race row but Emmerdale bosses refused to comment.

Sources claimed that Aaron had rowed with Matthew Wolfenden, 41, following the incident, which also involved Isabel Hodgins, 28.
This led to Aaron stating that he would not be returning to the show once his contract had ended.
An investigation has been launched and both Matthew and Isabel’s characters were hastily written out temporarily.
On-screen, however, time has proven that nothing can really keep the lovebirds apart.
Could this be just another bump in the road for Belle and Ellis?
Assuming she will stay behind in Emmerdale, will Belle really be pregnant with Ellis’ child, as production has teased an upcoming baby storyline?
Emmerdale airs on ITV every weeknight at 7pm with an extra episode on Thursday at 8pm.
