10 Characters That Everyone Thinks Are Crazy But End Up Being Right All Along
Between 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Game, and Terminator 2, if people would have just listened, things might not have gone as badly as they did.
It seems that almost every movie features some kind of awakened, wise-beyond-their-years character who is all-knowing, only for them to go completely ignored. It's an overused trope, but it can sometimes work so effectively, whether done for laughs or scares.
There aren't many things that a supernatural horror and a kids' movie about a hedgehog have in common, but if the protagonists listened to the people they thought were crazy, they would have had fewer problems.

In Sonic The Hedgehog, as fun as the movie is, Sonic is portrayed as a bit of a creep at the beginning, as he spies on the humans and pretends to be a part of their families. And it's made all the weirder because nobody knows he exists, except for one person. He might not be the most likable character in Sonic, due to being so unapproachable; but because of that, people don't take what Crazy Carl has to say seriously.
Carl knows the existence of Sonic, but everyone laughs at him when he tries to explain himself. And because he doesn't know much about the alien, Carl simply refers to him as "the Blue Devil." That's a fairly accurate nickname, as Sonic can run faster than the speed of light and is always up to mischief.

Frailty is one of the most underrated horror movies ever made, as it has everything that makes a classic horror, such as the suspense, the scares, and a shocking plot twist. The supernatural movie is about a man who is convinced that he has been told by God to kill demons disguised as people.
It's an outrageous claim and something that nobody in their right mind would believe. The idea is quickly ignored and Mr. Meiks is branded a serial killer. However, at the end of the movie, it's revealed that Mr. Meiks was telling the truth all along.

After the events of the first movie, in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Sarah is arrested and thrown in a mental asylum for her beliefs that a cyborg is out to kill her (and also because she attempted to bomb a computer factory.) Nobody believed her, but who can blame them?
The thought of a cyborg being sent from the future to kill her is just so ridiculous, but it's also so gratifying when she's proved right. The T-800 raids the mental asylum to find her, and Sarah's psychiatrist, who has been gaslighting her for years, can't believe his eyes.

Chicken Little retells the famous Anglo-Saxon fairy tale of Henny Penny, but it does so in such a unique way. Ace runs around almost like a headless chicken as he yells to the townspeople that the sky is falling. It's such an outrageous claim that everybody ridicules him.
However, one year later, it's revealed that the chicken was right all along, kind of. The sky that has been falling and hitting Ace on the head isn't exactly a piece of the sky, but a panel of a hidden UFO. While the twist sounds absurd, it's a charming little film, and some think it's one of the most underrated Disney movies.

The narrative of National Treasure is ridiculous but still so much fun, yet from the perspective of Benjamin Franklin Gates, it must be so frustrating. The historian has some outrageous claims that nobody ever believes, such as the existence of a map that leads to lost treasure on the back of the Declaration of Independence.
Even when he proves that he's right about one thing, it isn't enough for any of the characters to get completely on board, and Ben has to continuously prove that he's right over and over again. Even his wife and best friend didn't believe him in the sequel National Treasure: Book of Secrets either, even though they were with him on the first adventure. And if National Treasure 3 finally gets released, they probably won't believe him in that either.

Most of the Don't Look Up's 2.5-hour runtime follows Kate Dibiasky and Randall Mindy trying to convince people that a comet is going to hit the planet and wipe out the whole of mankind, but everyone ignores them the media present them to the public as if they've completely lost their marbles.
Because of that, some have argued that Don't Look Up ripped off Chicken little. The way the movie presents the public's response to Kate and Randall's findings is interesting, as it's almost as if people know that it's true but they are choosing not to believe it.

The Game is director David Fincher's most underrated movie, and it features a twist as great as the ones found in his other thriller movies Seven and Fight Club. The whole premise of the 1997 movie is about how all these unimaginably bad things keep happening to a wealthy stockbroker, but nobody believes him.
He has no idea why all these bad things are happening to him, but it gets so bad that his bank account is mysteriously rinsed and he is left penniless and homeless, and nobody believes that he was ever a wealthy businessman. It results in one of the biggest surprise endings ever.

Safety Not Guaranteed follows Darius, an investigative journalist who responds to a classified ad that asks for a partner to time travel with. The supposed time traveler, Kenneth, comes off like he has no clue what he's talking about, and alarm bells immediately start ringing in Darius' head.
Again, Kenneth's beliefs are so fantastical that why would anybody believe him, especially as he acts so agitated all of the time. However, against all odds, he turns out to have been telling the truth the whole time, and he really does have a working time travel machine.

On the face of it, Harold Crick is the most mundane movie character ever, as he works for the IRS and has such a scheduled life that he even brushes his teeth at the exact same time every day. However, he also has the most interesting life ever, as a female voice that only he can hear narrates everything he does.
Everything that the female voice says about his future comes true. When he tries to confide in somebody about this, of course, nobody believes the farfetched story. But as it turns out, he's somehow connected to a novel being written by an acclaimed author, and Harold is a character in the novel.

In 10 Cloverfield Lane, Michelle randomly wakes up in Howard's bunker not having ever met him before. She is fed a story about how it isn't safe to go outside because the planet has been invaded by Martians. And he then tells her that she can't leave for two years.
If anyone was in Michelle's shoes, they'd be thinking that it's a no-brainer that they've been abducted. But as it turns out, Howard was right and there is an alien invasion. However, it's also revealed that Howard is a psychopath too, and while he was right about the alien invasion, he was willing to do anything to protect his bunker.
