RHOBH: Lisa Vanderpump May Never Ride A Horse After Accident

0

Former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump may never ride a horse again following her accident earlier this week. Since viewers were first introduced to Lisa during the first season of RHOBH, she has had a love for all animals. Not only has she owned several dogs throughout her life, but Lisa even has two ponies and swans on her property. As an animal lover, it must have been difficult for Lisa when she was bucked off her horse

Over the weekend, Lisa was riding her horse at The Paddock just outside of Los Angeles, where she flew over the horse's head and onto her back. She sustained a broken leg and a severely bruised back but will be able to fully heal once she undergoes surgery. The incident clearly took the Vanderpump Rules star by surprise as she and her horse have been riding together for the past six years. Nonetheless, Lisa's days as a rider may be over now.

Popular news outlet TMZ  caught up with Lisa's husband of almost 40 years, Ken Todd, where he gave them an update on whether or not the reality star plans to get back on the horse. So far, Ken believes Lisa will likely put her horseback riding days behind her. "I think maybe that was her last ride," he told the publication. "I would never ride again. This is our horse, a gentle, gentle horse [...] Something spooked him, and you never know when that's gonna happen." Even though the accident was frightening, he and Lisa don't plan on taking any legal action. "It's one of those things that happens in life," Ken admitted. When asked whether he or Lisa planned to put the horse down, Ken was quick to say no way.

Lisa loves that horse and understands it was all an accident. As someone who loves animals as much as she does, Lisa would never resort to putting one of her beloved animals down. Lisa, who lost the employee settlement, was bucked off her horse on Sunday and sustained a broken leg after landing on her back. Ken confirmed the restauranteur broke her leg in three places, as opposed to the initial report that said it was two, and underwent surgery on Tuesday. Lisa's procedure will add a few plates and screws to her leg, but she is expected to make a full recovery in the next eight to ten weeks. Ken also recalled the moment Lisa was bucked off her horse and revealed she knew she broke her leg right away. He was in complete shock and immediately got the ambulance over to her.

Lisa was sent home shortly after her surgery on Tuesday and is expected to fully recover over the next couple of months. Even though the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star will likely never ride again, Lisa will always care for her beloved animals.
