FNAF: Security Breach Update Will Make It Easier To Unlock All Endings

0

An upcoming game update for FNAF: Security Breach will make unlocking its multiple endings much easier. The latest addition to the beloved horror series sees new character Gregory survive the night in Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, but many FNAF fans have been frustrated by bugs and game issues, with lots calling for significant patches and improvements.

FNAF: Security Breach takes the series in an all-new direction, employing survival horror elements in a first-person AAA-like experience that differs greatly from the previous Five Nights at Freddy's releases, giving the player more control over their adventure as they journey through the Pizzaplex. While many have praised the pivot, others have been unimpressed with Steel Wool Studios' game. The title, which launched in December, was initially criticized for a lack of polish, with lots of glitches dampening player experiences. While the developer has already released update patches for FNAF: Security Breach, there's still plenty of issues that many players want to see fixed.

In a developer update, Steel Wool Studios addressed some of fans' concerns over FNAF: Security Breach, outlining some of the issues that will be fixed in the future. According to the post, one of these frustrations will address players' difficulty in unlocking the game's multiple endings. Expected to be releasing this February, one of the biggest additions from the patch will be a single save station in the atrium for overtime, allowing players to save between endgame events and making achieving all endings much easier. Executive producer Ray McCaffrey explains: "Our goal was to make unlocking certain endings more difficult - we succeeded, but at the expense of the fun. We hope more folks pursue the game’s endings with these improvements."

While the patch doesn't yet have a firm release date, the ability to save before triggering endgame events will make it much easier for players to experience the different endings FNAF: Security Breach has to offer. In total, the game has six possible endings, which are dependent on the choices the player has made during play. Of the six, only one ending is considered canon to the series, serving to perhaps set up the next FNAF game, or potentially even DLC for Security Breach.

As one of the biggest names in indie horror, it seems unlikely that the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise is set to end with Security Breach. Despite its somewhat lukewarm reception in terms of performance, the new FNAF has been a hit across social media, spawning fan art, theories, and even cosplay. As well as working on game patches, it's believed that developers are also working on DLC, and as FNAF: Security Breach multiplayer hasn't been ruled out, that's also a possibility. With the next game fixes expected sometime this February, it's possible even more could be on the way for FNAF fans throughout 2022.
