[MSC] Mid-South Conference celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Wednesday, February 2, is National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The annual event is in its 36th year and coincides with the 50th anniversary of Title XI.

According to the Women's Sports Foundation website, the day is meant to inspire girls and women to play and be active, to realize their full power. The confidence, strength, and character gained through sports participation are the very tools girls and women need to become strong leaders in sports and life.
