Dragons’ Den viewers all saying the same thing after aspiring entrepreneur walks away with successful deal

DRAGONS’ Den viewers all said the same thing after an aspiring entrepreneur walked away with successful deal tonight.

Thursday night’s instalment of the BBC show saw Natalie Quail, CEO and founder of SmileTime, pitch for £50,000 in exchange for a two per cent stake in her business.

Natalie explained that her oral cosmetic products have managed to help generate over £1m of sales over the past year.

After Sara Davies, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones opted out, Touker Suleyman and Steven Bartlett battled it out to become her business partner.

Touker told Natalie: “There’s no way I’m going to get out of bed with two per cent, that’s ridiculous.

“I’m going to give you all the money, but I want 25 per cent.”

Meanwhile Steven added: “I’m going to offer you all of the money but I’m going to want 10 per cent.”

Natalie went off to think about the two offers and returned with a decision.

The entrepreneur said: “Thank you for both of your offers. I would love to work with you both, would you consider each having 10 per cent and coming in together?

The pair confirmed that they were willing to work together and Natalie walked out with two new business partners.

However, Peter was confused with her decision as she had an offer for all the money for 10 per cent, and decided to give away 10 per cent more, despite only offering two.

Viewers of the show were also left scratching their heads over Natalie’s decision and took to Twitter to discuss.

One wrote: “Well done to her. She needs to go on a negotiating skills course though.”

Another said: “Did the Smile lady make a mistake. She must really think Touker is worth it and will bring something. I would have just gone with Steven’s 10% and his big social media following.  #dragonsden.”

A third added: “I think I’ve just witnessed the worst negotiation ever made on tonight’s #dragonsden.”

“Confused at that latest investment. She only wanted to offer 2% of the company then gave 20% away despite @SteveBartlettSC offering all of the money for 10%! Still think it was a good investment though,” a fourth chimed in.

Meanwhile a fifth pointed out: “I wonder if she meant 10% for both TOGETHER ?  Big mistake, huuuuge mistake !!! #dragonsden.”

Another tweeted: “Honestly think the woman who just offered 20% when she had an offer of 10% for all the money on the table is going to walk outside, realise her maths error and yell “F************!!”
