Sister Wives: Robyn Reveals She Has No Relationship With Other Wives
In a sneak peek for the next episode of Sister Wives, Robyn Brown admitted she's never felt a close bond with husband Kody Brown's three other wives. The family has always been controversial for their belief in plural marriages, but Robyn in particular has gotten the most hate. Fans have never thought she fit in with the rest of the family, believing she monopolizes all of Kody's time. Many believe Robyn is the reason the family is falling apart, since Kody seems to put more weight in her opinions than the other wives'. One of Kody's wives, Christine Brown, recently decided to end her marriage with Kody and leave the family after 25 years of being in a spiritual partnership with him. It was clear from recent episodes she was unhappy.
There are many reasons fans don't like Robyn, one of them being they think Kody treats his kids with her better than he treats his children with the other wives. They claim the favoritism has always been there but became more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic when his strict rules didn't seem to apply to them. One example of his hypocrisy is how he dealt with two of his kids needing surgery. When his child with Christine needed to travel to New Jersey for a spinal surgery, he claimed she needed to go alone because it was too dangerous to travel during the pandemic but was extremely supportive when Robyn's son needed a cosmetic surgery.
Robyn is now admitting to feeling a divide between herself and the other wives in a teaser for the next episode of Sister Wives. As reported by ET, Robyn is seen in the clip discussing her relationship with the women with tears in her eyes. After admitting she doesn't have a great relationship with them, Kody stepped in to explain how plural marriages work. He explained there is a hierarchy when it comes to the wives, with the first wife butting heads with the second, the first and second butting heads with the third one, and so on. According to him, this is all normal, and it's just unfortunate that Robyn is the last on the pyramid. He said Robyn had a really hard time accepting they disliked her, seemingly for no reason at all, even admitting he doesn't think any of the wives would be friendly with her besides Meri.
Robyn claimed she once reached out to Janelle, Kody's second wife, to see if they could patch things up but that Janelle wasn't receptive to it. After Robyn brought it up, Janelle claimed her reluctance was due to things that have happened in the past, which fans might not be aware of. She said she is semi-open to strengthening their relationship but at the same time wonders whether or not it would be worth it. Janelle also said she wasn't open to it in the moment that she and Robyn had that conversation because she felt as if Robyn was putting her on the spot. She hinted at feeling as if they are hurt that she has a great relationship with Kody and are using that against her. Robyn doesn't find that fair and hopes the women figure out their issues with him.
With all the tension in the family, it will be interesting to see how much longer Kody can keep his family together. He already lost one wife, which opens the door for the other Sister Wives cast members to leave, since they won't have the stigma of being the first. It will be interesting if any of them choose to do so.
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
