  • The 2022 Winter Olympics hockey tournament is now underway.
  • Every hockey match is being streamed live on Peacock Premium ($5/month).
  • The US women's team is hoping to defend their 2018 gold medal.

The hockey tournament at the 2022 Beijing Olympics began on February 2. It's set to run through February 19 when the men's gold medal game concludes the competition. All events will be streamed live on Peacock and select events will be broadcast live or re-aired on NBC, USA, CNBC, and the Olympic Channel.

The US women's national team entered the tournament as favorites to take home the gold medal for the second Olympics in a row. Fifteen players on the team have Olympic experience, with some players having as many as three Olympic games under their belt. However, star player Brianna Decker suffered a leg injury during the team's first match of the Winter Games, and the setback could put the team's gold medal hopes in doubt.

On the men's side, Team USA will be without NHL stars again this year. The young team, composed mostly of NCAA athletes, is reminiscent of the 1980 team who brought home gold.

How to watch Olympic hockey

Every hockey game played during the 2022 Beijing Olympics will be streamed live on Peacock with a Premium subscription. Peacock Premium costs $5 a month.

Some hockey events will also air on NBC, USA, CNBC, and the Olympic Channel. If you have access to NBC through a pay-TV provider, you can stream those events on the NBC or NBC Sports app, and on NBCOlympics.com.

If you don't have cable, you can watch NBC's broadcast coverage on a live TV streaming service, like Sling TV, FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, or Youtube TV. The most budget-friendly option of the bunch is Sling's Blue plan, which costs $35 a month. This plan includes NBC and USA, but you have to pay for add-on packages to get the Olympic Channel and CNBC.

Note: NBC is only available in select markets, so be sure to check availability on Sling's website first.
