Volvo hires former Tesla exec to run Swedish battery gigafactory JV with Northvolt

Automotive maker Volvo Cars has selected Gothenburg, Sweden, as the site of its new battery manufacturing joint venture with Northvolt, and has appointed a former Tesla executive to lead it, the battery manufacturer said.
