KUWTK: Machine Gun Kelly & Travis Barker Show Off Matching Tattoos
Machine Gun Kelly and Keeping Up With The Kardashians affiliate Travis Barker are laughing about their matching tattoos after the rocker decided to change the name of his album. MGK and Travis are close friends and music collaborators who spend a lot of time together. With both of them being covered in body art, the rock stars decided to get a matching tattoo together. However, the meaning behind their matching tats is no longer meaningful after MGK had a change of heart.
The Blink-182 drummer built a strong friendship with Machine Gun Kelly after they worked together on the rapper's debut rock album Tickets To My Downfall. The duo worked on a few songs together and Travis even joined MGK in his music videos and in a number of performances. The album was a hit and became Machine Gun Kelly's first no. 1 on the Billboard charts. Because of their friendship, their respective famous fiancées Megan Fox and Kourtney Kardashian also started hanging out. As MGK gears up to release another rock album, he has finally decided on a name for the project.
Machine Gun Kelly recently posted a comical video updating Travis and his fans about changing the new name for his sixth studio album. The unfortunate part is that this name change came six months after MGK and Travis got matching tattoos with the original title of the album. "My bad," Machine Gun Kelly captioned the lighthearted video. In the post, MGK is seen breaking the news to Travis. "Ok, we're friends no matter what, right?" MGK asked Travis, who replied with, "of course". Travis then shared a fist bump with MGK. "Remember when we got (...) the new album name tattooed on our arms?" MGK asked before the video cut to a throwback clip of them showing off their "Born With Horns" tattoos. Before Machine Gun Kelly could even finish, Travis asked him: "You changed the..." and then burst out laughing. "I'm changing the album name," MGK exclaimed through laughs.
Barker went on to ask what the new album name will be before the updated logo flashed across the screen revealing it'll be titled Mainstream Sellout. Back in August 2021, MGK teased his second rock album with Travis in a video showing off their "Born With Horns" tattoos. "We're back for round two," MGK said at the time. Six months later, however, Machine Gun Kelly changed his mind on the album's name. At least he and Travis have a funny story behind their matching tattoos. Maybe MGK can even use that original name for a future album title.
Considering all of the tattoos Travis has, the failed meaning behind his matching tattoo with MGK just adds to the interesting stories behind the drummer's full body of ink. For instance, Travis already has a number of tattoos dedicated to Kourtney. It only makes sense that the two rock stars have at least one matching tattoo. With Travis preparing to get married to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and MGK recently proposing to Megan, the two friends have even more special life moments to share together.
