Kessel To Field Multi-Car Ferrari Entry In GT Open

Kessel Racing will return full-time this year to the International GT Open with a multi-car Ferrari 488 entry.

The first line-up to be announced is the one formed by Roman Ziemian and Axcil Jefferies.

The Pole, who comes from the Ferrari Challenge competitions, and the Zimbabwean, who has a solid CV in GT, sportscars and single-seaters, will compete in the Pro-Am class in a black-orange Hortman-backed Ferrari 488. The pair already made one appearance in the GT Open, last year at Monza.

Kessel Racing has made regular outings in the GT Open in recent years, after having collected a total 6 overall race wins and been a four-time GTS champion (2009-12) in earlier full campaigns. The Swiss team, based in Grancia (Canton Ticino) and founded by former F.1 driver Loris Kessel, has an impressive record of successes in many other series, including Blancpain GT and Sports Club, Michelin Le Mans Cup and Ferrari World and Europe Challenges.
