When Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 Returns After The Olympics

0

With Legends of Tomorrow season 7 on a short break for the Olympics, audiences have been wondering when the show will return. Arrowverse's most unpredictable series premiered its seventh season in October 2021 and this time it is scheduled to run for 13 episodes. The length of season 7 may have come as a surprise to fans of the series as previous seasons had a total of 15 episodes.

Now less focused on DC's renowned heroes and investing the most in their original characters, the latest batch of Legends of Tomorrow episodes shocked viewers by bringing back Eobard Thawne. In a truce with the team to fight a greater opponent, the Legion of Doom villain Reverse-Flash was Sara's best hope to alter a fixed point in time and create an aberration strong enough to distract the Waverider. Once an ally of the team, Gideon came to the conclusion that the heroes must be destroyed and helped to cross "evil robot doppelgangers" off the list of weird things that Legends of Tomorrow had yet to feature.

Audiences will not have to wait too long to see how the story continues as Legends of Tomorrow season 7 is expected to return from the Olympics’ break on February 23. The three-week hiatus will allow the series to release its penultimate episode just in time for the season finale to be released on March 2 as scheduled. While spreading Star Wars spoilers 65 years before George Lucas' film was made has delayed the team’s problems for a while, the heroes still have a lot to sort out before the season ends.

While it continues to please audiences and critics alike, Legends of Tomorrow has yet to be renewed for season 8. This comes as a surprise as in previous years the show used to have its renewal announced before the final batch of episodes in a season. Even without the certainty that the show will continue for another year, Legends of Tomorrow is preparing a new addition to its cast. Clueless and Scrubs actor Donald Faison is expected to appear in the season finale in a role whose description matches that of an important character in the DC universe. Words such as "golden years" and "boost" can be found in the official announcement indicating that Faison could be playing time-traveler hero Booster Gold.

After the break for the Olympics, Legends of Tomorrow will pick up where it left off with episode 12 releasing on February 23. Without a renewal announcement, the show heads into the last two episodes of season 7 carrying more questions than answers. With only 13 episodes this season instead of the usual 15, Legends of Tomorrow will have to race against time to tie up all the loose ends.
