Everton 4 Brentford 1: Frank Lampard gets off to solid start as boss as Richarlison and Co give him FA Cup triumph
FRANK LAMPARD got off to the perfect start in his first game in charge of Everton as the Merseyside outfit smashed Brentford 4-1 in the FA Cup fourth round.
The Toffees never looked in danger at Goodison Park as they ran riot against their fellow Premier League outfit.
Colombian centre-back Yerry Mina broke the deadlock in the 31st minute with a header, with Richarlison doubling the hosts’ lead early in the second half.
Bees striker Ivan Toney then pulled a goal back shortly after from the penalty spot.
But Mason Holgate quickly restored Everton’s two-goal lead to allay fears around the ground.
Andros Townsend then sealed the victory in injury time in what was his seventh goal of the season.
