19 Kids And Counting: Michelle Duggar Accused Of Breaking Modesty Rules
Michelle Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting has shocked her followers as she was spotted wearing pants while on a family outing. As TLC viewers know, Jim Bob and Michelle have always lived their lives by strict modesty rules, which included the girls only being allowed to wear skirts. The forbidden slack could be a sign of changing times within the family, especially after dealing with so much turmoil.
Pictures recently surfaced via The Sun of Michelle, not only sporting a nice black pair of trousers but also wearing a fake tan. Michelle was in Los Angeles visiting with a few of her children, including Jinger, Jana, Jason, and James. In the pictures, the family was smiling as they attended church in the morning. Fans were shaken to see Michelle wearing black capri pants and sneakers while also still wearing her same long hairstyle. The laid-back look is very different from what fans are used to seeing the matriarch wear on the family show. For multiple seasons, Michelle followed her husband Jim's strict "skirts only" policy.
The pictures also showed the 55-year-old wearing a spray tan while enjoying taking selfies on the beach. 19 Kids and Counting followers were surprised to see the mother of 19 dismiss her own rules so quickly, especially after forcing her daughters to live modestly while growing up. Fans will recall that Jim Bob and Michelle also expected their children to court instead of date along with the dressing modest rules. Each of the children was chaperoned when going out with the opposite sex. The family also held a high standard when it came to their religious beliefs.
Michelle's mini-makeover comes during a very stressful time for the entire Duggar family. Their eldest son Josh was just found guilty of possessing child pornography by a federal jury and is facing up to 20 years behind bars. Jim Bob and Michelle were at the trial and seemed to be trying to support their son. After a stressful trial, the couple decided to throw a New Year's Eve party for their closes family and friends. Pictures showed Michelle still wearing her infamous long skirts. It is possible Michelle was just in vacation mode while visiting the City of Angels as 19 Kids and Counting viewers will keep a close eye on her when she returns to Arkansas.
