After almost two years of the Covid pandemic, upgrade of health infrastructure has emerged as the major election issue in villages with a substantial NRI population. Typically, NRIs have helped build up infrastructure, including schools, roads, drainage system and passenger sheds, besides conducting tree plantation in these villages.
