Vipers Game Day – Vipers Look For 9th Straight Win in Cranbrook

Cranbrook, BC:  The Vipers look to push their win streak to 9 and 6 straight on the road as they finish up back to back games in Cranbrook tonight.

The Vipers (15-14-3-3) come in following a come from behind 3-2 shootout win over the Bucks last night.  Anthony Cliche and Griffen Barr had goals in regulation while Zack Tonelli and Talon Zakall scored in the shootout.  Roan Clarke stopped 35 of 37 shots for his 11th win of the season.  The Vipers have really turned around their overtime and shoot out records…after starting the season 1-6, they have won 6 consecutive after regulation.  The Vipers have played in 7 straight one goal games and have come out on the winning side of all 7.  They continue to push through adversity with 5 regulars out of the lineup.  Offense has come up and down the lineup.  The Vipers have outscored the opposition 30-15 during this stretch.

The Bucks (19-15-2-1) come in winless in their last two games after a midweek loss to Wenatchee and the shootout loss last night.  Noah Quinn and Tyson Dyck had goals in regulation while Nathan Airey stopped 32 of 34 in the loss.  The Bucks have scored powerplay goals in back to back games.  The Bucks are 10-6-1-1 at home.

This is the third meeting of the season between these two teams.  They’ll meet again next weekend for a set in Vernon.
