I’m a professional organiser and all you need to transform your storage is a cheap dish rack – there are so many uses
A PROFESSIONAL organiser has revealed the multiple uses for a dish rack she picked up for just $1.
India Simmons regularly shares organisational tips on her TikTok page, and delighted followers with her suggestions on how to use the Dollar Tree rack.
“Many people aren’t organised because they don’t know where to start,” she began.
“Walk into the store and lost as to what to get. Well I got you. You may look at this as a Dish Rack from the Dollar Tree but let me school you on how many ways you can use this.”
She went on to demonstrate the uses for the rack, beginning with storing cling film, tin foil and other long boxes, tupperware lids, trays and baking trays, bags of frozen vegetables, small cosmetic bags and flip flops and sandals.
Once it was turned vertically it became a brilliant storage space for wrapping paper or even video game boxes.
“Now let’s take it up a notch,” she began in video number two.
“With this being a wire rack it’s very easy to bend them upwards. Now you can use it for many different ways, like holding the lids of your pots.”

India added that it’s a good idea to use Command strips to hang the rang on the wall.
“This would be a perfect place to put your kids’ artwork or schoolwork that they bring home every day,” she said. “You’re welcome parents out there.”
“Use it for your mail when you first walk into the door,” she said, “or use it for your recipe books.”
Army wife India even managed to use the rack as a storage spot for her husband’s multiple work hats.
“For all my military spouses out there that are constantly being woken up in the morning to find your husband’s hats? You’re welcome,” she grinned.
She concluded her video by popping some small rolled up towels in between the wires, and adding: ” How cute is it for a towel holder?”
The videos were quickly commented on by other organisation fans, with one writing: “I love all of these ideas!!”
“Thank you for showing this. my big annoyance is pot lids and this is a good thing to hang pot lids especially on the door or something thank you,” another person commented.
