I used my grandma’s curlers to try and get gorgeous ringlets… but I ended up looking like Bruno Mars
THE quest for perfect curls can be a lengthy one.
But when one woman decided to try and use her grandmother’s curlers in a bid to achieve a gorgeous head of ringlets, she was left somewhat disappointed with the result.
“These are my grandmother’s snap on curlers and we’re going to be trying them out today,” Glamzilla’s Stephanie said in a video posted on her TikTok page.
Stephanie began by sectioning her hair, and spraying it with water and a root-boosting product, before using the roller to twist the locks up towards her head.
“Oh my God, this is going to take ages,” she laughed.
However, once she got into the swing of things, Stephanie managed to get her whole head in the rollers in just 20 minutes – with her boyfriend’s help.
“I’m going to let this set for the next four hours and then I’ll be back,” she promised.
She returned after six hours, once her hair was dry and set, and began removing the rollers one by one.

After taking some of the rollers out, she joked: “Shirley Temple has entered the chat.”
But once all the rollers were removed, Stephanie wasn’t too pleased with the final look.
“I look like frigging Bruno Mars,” she laughed.
“Anyways, this was a total epic fail, and not to be dramatic but I wanna die!”
Trying to brush it out she grinned, “I’m trying to make it work but I literally look like I work at a symphony – as a conductor”.
“This is going to be the last hair tutorial I do in a while,” she joked.
She added in a comment on the video: “WOW!!!! THIS IS CELEBRITY WORTHY CURLS!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! WOW!!!!” alongside laughing crying emojis.
