Putin Pretended to Sleep When Ukrainian Athletes Emerged at Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

While attending the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics at Bird’s Nest stadium, Russian leader Vladimir Putin appeared to fall asleep as Ukraine’s athletes emerged. 

With political tension and the threat of war hanging over the Games, Putin attended the opening ceremony despite Russian athletes being banned from the event due to doping.
