EMMERDALE star Isobel Steele gave soap fans a look at her life away from the Dales as she shared new Instagram selfie.

The actress, who plays troublemaker Liv Flaherty on the ITV soap, showcased her off-duty style in the shot and sported a black gilet, blue plaid shirt with loose-fitting jeans.

The 21-year-old accessorised her ensemble with a denim tote bag, silver charm bracelet and a fresh make-up look while her brown hair fell in a loose, tousled style.

Captioning her mirror selfie, Isobel star wrote: “That new month feeling ”.

The post went down a treat with fans who commented in their droves about how “different” she looked from her on-screen character.

One wrote: “I didn’t recognise you.. You look so very different from Liv.. Beautiful pic ”.

“You look beautiful x,” another remarked. “So beautiful”.

A fourth added: “Sooo pretty. Omg ”.

The actress joined Emmerdale in February 2016 and has won several awards for her portrayal of the asexual character – including a British Soap Award in 2018 for Best Young Actor.

Isobel’s character has been at the centre of a number of the soap’s biggest storylines revolving around Liv’s sexuality, alcoholism, and run-ins with the law.

In August, the actress revealed how her character’s dramatic storylines affect her ‘mental wellbeing’

At the time, Liv was in a downward spiral of alcoholism after leaving baddie Paul Ashworth to die in the wedding barn explosion.

The youngster’s drinking landed her in hospital after she passed out in a cemetery beside Leanna Cavanagh’s grave – and almost choked on her own vomit.

Speaking about how the scenes have an impact on her mental health, actress Isobel told the Mirror: “It does have an effect on your mental wellbeing.

“If I’m in a really great mood and I know I’ve got like a whole week of really emotional scenes, I don’t allow myself to be that happy because I find it harder to perform.

“I have to knock myself back a little bit the night before so that I’m in the right headspace to do the scenes.”
