Pitch invader taken away by police after confronting Nottingham Forest players during Leicester clash in FA Cup
A PITCH invader was taken away by police after confronting Nottingham Forest players during their 4-1 FA Cup win against Leicester.
The person made their way onto the field of the City Ground during the first half of Sunday’s match as Forest players celebrated Joe Worrall’s goal for 3-0.
Caught on live TV, pictures showed the invader exchanging scuffles with Forest players in shocking scenes.
But the person was quickly bundled to the ground by fast-thinking ground security staff.
And police eventually arrested the invader on the sideline before walking them off the pitch.
Today marked the first meeting between fierce rivals Nottingham Forest and Leicester in eight years.
Around 4,000 Foxes fans made the trip to the City Ground.
And Nottinghamshire Police issued a warning to supporters about their conduct before kick-off.

Ch Insp Neil Williams, the force’s match commander, said: “Due to Leicester City’s recent success, today’s match represents the first time these rivals have met in nearly eight years, so I understand that both sets of supporters will want to win.
“While we want everyone who is attending the game to have a great time, it is important that people don’t allow their emotions to get the better of them and spoil the day for others.
“We did unfortunately experience incidents of flares being thrown at the Derby match, so I want to urge people not to make the same mistake.”
