Dancing on Ice horror as Connor Ball suffers bloody accident and rushes to paramedics live on the show
DANCING On Ice star Connor Ball was left with blood dripping onto his shirt after stitches on his chin burst open.
The Vamps singer had been patched up before taking to the ice but host Stephen Mulhern explained to viewers what had happened.
He said: “Obviously Dancing on Ice is completely live. Connor before the show was meant to open the entire show but had an accident backstage.
“He had stitches before the show so he couldn’t go on first and they’ve now opened up.
“Mate – first of all, I don’t know how you still performed. What happened backstage?”
Connor, 25, had a tissue clamped to his face to stop the blood from gushing out.
He explained: “I was a bit stressed about the spin. I kept trying to perfect the spin. I just slipped down and smacked my face.”
Stephen, 44, said: “We’ll get it seen to. I know the paramedics are on stand-by. It’s dripping on your shirt. Well done mate.”

Holly, looking concerned at the situation, told him: “Keep pressure on it.”
Ashley Banjo told him: “Well done bro. Taking that kind of fall and still coming out with blood coming from your face takes guts.
“You looked a bit concerned part way through – now I know why.”
Connor, a singer with The Vamps, left with professional partner Alexandra Schauman to be seen my the on-set medics as the show continued.

Fans asked why he was required to wait until the judges’ comments were over to get medical treatment.
One tweeted: “Am I the only one that thinks Connor should have been allowed to get treatment instead of letting him bleed?”
In an evening of high drama on the popular show, Connor survived for another week, while S Club star Rachel Stevens was sent packing.
Dancing on Ice returns next Sunday on ITV at 6pm
