Keir Starmer given all-clear by cops after being filmed drinking beer in lockdown
SIR Keir Starmer has been given the all-clear by police after he was filmed enjoying an alleged Covid-busting beer with pals.
The Labour leader was secretly videoed swigging from a bottle in Durham last April while strict restrictions were in place.
It’s set to spark anger as Tories are still embroiled in Partygate.
Tory MPs said there was “no difference” between what the PM had been accused of and Sir Keir’s actions.
Yesterday Durham Police confirmed it had “reviewed” the footage of Sir Keir last month.
But a spokesman said: “We do not believe an offence has been established in relation to the legislation and guidance in place at that time.
“We will, therefore, take no further action.”
Sir Keir has insisted it was “no comparison with the Prime Minister”.
