Who is Columbus Short?
COLUMBUS Short began his acting career in 2004 and has since been seen in a number of productions.
In February 2022 he made headlines after it was revealed that he had been arrested once again.
Who is Columbus Short?
Born September 19, 1982, in Kansas City, Missouri, Short, 39, is known as an American actor and choreographer.
He is famously known for his roles in Stomp the Yard, Cadillac Records, Armored, and The Losers.
Outside of acting, Short is also responsible for choreographing Britney Spears’s Onyx Hotel Tour.
Short is expected to star in the upcoming 2022 film Scott Free as well as portray the role of Martin Luther King Jr. in Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story.
Why was Columbus Short arrested?
On February 6, 2022, it was revealed that Short had been arrested again for domestic violence.
Police were reportedly called to his San Fernando Valley home around 10:30pm a few days prior, according to TMZ.

Short and his wife got into a verbal argument that allegedly became physical.
He later went on to spend 12 hours in jail before posting a $50,000 bond.
At this time, no charges have been filed according to the media outlet, but this is not the first time he has found himself in trouble with the law.
In 2018, Short was arrested for domestic violence also and pleaded no contest, resulting in 34 days behind bars.
Prior to that, Short was arrested in 2014 after punching a man during a bar fight.
“I’ll be candid. I was struggling with drugs,” Short told Access Hollywood in 2014. “I had a lot on my plate, and you know, I was using unhealthy ways to kind of self-medicate and deal with a lot of heavy duty stuff in my life. I was doing cocaine and drinking a lot, and trying to balance a 16-hour work schedule a day, and a family, and I just lost myself back then.”
Who is Columbus Short’s wife?
Since December 2016, Short has been married to Aida Abramyan.
She is reportedly a UCLA graduate who now works as an Entertainment Publicist, according to what appears to be her LinkedIn profile.
Abramyan is often seen posting on social media about her husband and children but tends to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible.
Her last post as of this writing dates back to September 19, 2021, when she wished her husband a happy birthday.
“Happy birthday my love! You’re an extraordinary human…plain and simple…carefree spirit yet mindful, superhuman yet humble, torn from life’s hurdles but still hopeful, exhausted but still fighting that good fight,” she wrote at the time.
“…Wishing you the best of everything in this world my love because you are more than deserving. Cheers to you my King! Now let’s go GET IT!!”
Prior to his relationship with Abramyan, Short was married two additional times.
He was first married to Brandi Short, who is also the mother of his first son, from 2001 to 2003.
Short then remarried Tanee McCall in 2005 and welcomed his first daughter Ayala, in 2012, however, the couple parted ways shortly after in 2014.
Throughout the course of his marriage with Abramyan, the couple has welcomed two sons together.
