Best Samsung Galaxy S22 T-Mobile Pre-Order Deals (And How To Get Them)
Samsung's Galaxy S22 series packs a pretty serious punch, and thanks to ample pre-order deals at T-Mobile, getting one of the new phones is a lot more affordable than you may realize. Announced in February 2022, the Galaxy S22 lineup is impressive in more ways than one. Samsung's touting improved AMOLED displays, upgraded cameras, and even faster performance. It's also refined the design it started with last year's S21 family, making the S22 lineup downright stunning to look at.
As is often the case, however, all of that flagship goodness comes at a cost. The baseline Galaxy S22 starts at $799, the Galaxy S22+ starts at $999, and anyone interested in the Galaxy S22 Ultra needs to pay at least $1199. Buying the phones outright at those prices is out of the question for many shoppers, and rightfully so. The good news? Anyone buying the Galaxy S22 from T-Mobile can save a heap of cash with the carrier's pre-order deals.
Perhaps the best T-Mobile pre-order deal is being able to get an S22 or S22+ for free with an eligible trade-in. So long as someone trades in an eligible device, buys the Galaxy S22 or S22+ on an installment plan, and has T-Mobile Magenta MAX (or upgrades to it), they get the phone for free via 24 or 36 monthly bill credits. T-Mobile's list of eligible trade-ins is quite exhaustive. To get the S22+ for free, shoppers need to trade in newer devices like the Galaxy S21+/Ultra, Note 20, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro. Shoppers can trade in those same devices for a free Galaxy S22, in addition to older phones like the iPhone X, Galaxy S20, OnePlus 8, and Google Pixel 5.
A similar offer is also available for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. While T-Mobile isn't giving away the phone for free, it is offering steep discounts if shoppers meet the same requirements. Get the S22 Ultra on installment, trade in an eligible phone, and make sure you're subscribed to T-Mobile Magenta MAX. If you do all that, the savings are pretty substantial. When trading in handsets such as the Galaxy S21+/Ultra or iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max, T-Mobile customers will get $1000 off the S22 Ultra's $1199 price. They can also net an $800 discount when trading in the regular S21, S20 FE, iPhone X, etc. Something else to consider is that these same offers are available even if you don't have Magenta MAX — just at a lesser rate. T-Mobile customers with a different unlimited plan can follow the same steps above for a lower discount on any Galaxy S22 model. Instead of being able to save up to $1000 with a select trade-in, folks without Magenta MAX can save up to $500. It isn't nearly as enticing of an offer, but it's still one worth considering if you don't want to switch to Magenta MAX.
For shoppers who'd rather take advantage of a BOGO deal instead of a trade-in one, T-Mobile has you covered there as well. For the regular Galaxy S22, T-Mobile's letting folks buy one handset and get another one for free. You'll need to activate two voice lines or add a new line to an existing plan to be eligible, but if that's something you were already planning on doing, you get two Galaxy S22s for the price of one. The same BOGO deal is also available for Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra, but instead of getting a second phone for free, T-Mobile offers an $800 discount.
Last but certainly not least, anyone pre-ordering the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, or Galaxy S22 Ultra can get double the storage for the same price. In other words, the 256GB versions of all three phones currently cost the same as the 128GB ones. This is especially exciting for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, as going from 128 to 256GB of storage also increases its RAM from 8 to 12GB. All of these deals are available as of February 9 for a limited time, so you'll want to act fast.
