Man shot in hand and foot at Stanford Shopping Center

PALO ALTO – A man was shot in the hand and foot Thursday night at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, police said.

The shooting was reported at 9:40 p.m. in a parking lot at the mall, according to the Palo Alto Police Department.

The victim went to a hospital on his own, police said. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The suspect left the scene in a vehicle, police said.

“Police are actively investigating the circumstances of what occurred,” police said in an advisory.

Additional information about the shooting will be released Friday morning, police said.
