How to close all iPhone Safari tabs – instant hack takes seconds to learn
YOU can instantly close all of your Safari tabs on an iPhone.
It’s an essential hack for hardcore iPhone users – you may find you’ve still got hundreds left open.
Safari is the default browser on iPhone, so it gets a lot of use.
And if you don’t make a habit of closing browser tabs, they can quickly build up.
You could easily end up with hundreds of tabs in less than a year.
Thankfully Apple has several ways of closing tabs en masse.
You could manually close them one-by-one of course, but that could take an age.
Better to use a mass-delete feature instead and speed things up.

To use these tricks, make sure you’ve updated to the latest iOS 15 version.
Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check.
How to close all Safari tabs on iPhone
To close them all, first, open the Safari app.
Then press and hold the squares icon in the bottom right corner.
Two red options will pop up.
One will say “Close all tabs” and it will reveal just how many you have open.
The other option is just to close the tab you’re currently viewing.
Click to close all the tabs.
You’ll then be asked to confirm this.
Before following these steps make sure you do actually want to close all the tabs.
If there are some you want to leave open you’ll have to go through individually and close the ones you don’t want.
You can also set your Safari to automatically close tabs for you.
Open your iPhone Settings app, then scroll down and tap Safari.
Scroll down again and tap Close Tabs.
Select from the menu whether you want tabs to close after one day, one week or one month.
It’s also possible to re-open closed Safari tabs – if you shuttered one by accident.
First, press the overlapped squares in the bottom right-hand corner of Safari.
Then hold down on the + icon at the bottom of your browser.
That will pull up a list of all the tabs you’ve closed recently, giving you a chance to restore them.
