Who was Fox News reporter Jim Angle?
As a young adult, Angle was drafted into the Armed Services and made deployments to Vietnam and Germany.
Angle made nightly appearances on Fox News’ Special Report during the ten years Hume anchored the program from 1998 to 2008.
Now Fox News’ Senior Political Analyst, Hume tweeted “He was there at the start, covering the White House. His work was solid, substantive, fair and insightful. And he was great fun to be around.”
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement: “Jim was a FOX News original and a top Washington correspondent whose talent and fearless reporting was unmatched.”
How long did Angle work at Fox News?
Angle joined Fox in 1996, the year the network was established.
During the Bush Administration, Angle was named Chief Washington Correspondent for Fox News.
He was later promoted to Chief National Correspondent for the channel.
In his retirement letter, Angle wrote “I covered 4 Presidents and it was a thrill. I saw the Cold War come to an end, and the Berlin wall come down, which was particularly touching for me since I had given tours of it while stationed in Berlin in the Army.”
Angle left Fox News in 2014 after 18 years.
During his career, Angle was twice decorated with “Excellence in Financial Journalism” awards for his coverage of the economy.
Was Jim Angle married?
Angle married bureaucrat Patrice Pisinski in 2008.
Angle told the Washington Examiner that pair met at a charity dinner.
Angle was a wine connoisseur and kept a cellar stocked.
A cause of death has not been made public.
Angle is survived by his brother George Angle, sister-in-law Alison Avagliano and step-sons Spencer and Chris Pisinski.
