The Haryana law had set aside 75% jobs, with less than ₹30,000 salary, for 'locals.' The law states that the person would have to be a resident of Haryana. All private establishments which employ more than 10 persons were asked to comply or face fines between ₹10,000 and ₹2 lakh for violation.
